Shifted Spine
General Information
A shifted spine is another term for spondylolisthesis and slipped vertebrae. It refers to vertebrae that has shifted or moved out of place relative to the vertebrae above or below it. It is another term for a spondylolisthesis which means the same thing. A vertebra can shift forward, backward, or sideways. This creates a deformity and can significantly affect others structures in the spine as well. It is a deformity in the front to back plane of the body.
