General Information
A “flat back” is a posture change that is associated with a spondylolisthesis that has shifted backwards (retrolisthesis). This causes the entire lower spine to completely straighten or flatten. Flat back deformity will also affect the thoracic and cervical spine. Another term often heard is a kyphotic spine, or, kyphosis.
