Failed Back Surgery Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can a failed lumbar fusion be fixed?
Possibly. You need to have current plain x-rays (weight bearing with flexion and extension views), a CT scan (thin slice, high resolution with multiplanar reconstructions), and an MRI scan (with and without contrast) of your lower back (lumbar spine) in order to do a complete assessment. Further treatment would be based on all of these results.
